Leo’s journey with Salsa began in 2008 at a club in Meiji University, Japan. He was instantly captivated by the magic of social dance, spending almost every day taking classes and dancing at Salsa clubs across Tokyo! In 2012, he joined the elite Japanese dance team "Golden Eggs," where he refined his performance techniques, strengthened his foundations in Lead & Follow, and deepened his understanding of musicality and body movement.

I was once that student who couldn't keep up and was always falling behind. ADHD made it difficult for me to stay focused, and growing up drifting between Taiwan, Japan, and Canada, I struggled to find a sense of belonging. In those years of searching, it was "dancing" that gave me rhythm, a connection to my body, and confidence.

That’s why my teaching style is gentle yet firm. I will stay by my students' side as they practice basic steps over and over—because I know that the most important things are often hidden within the simplest foundations.

My goal is to create more than just a class; I want to build a space where you can feel safe to stumble, safe to learn, and safe to improve at your own pace.
